LASTRUP -- Gladys Kapsner, 56, Lastrup, died Sunday, March 31, 2002,at home.
She was born May 25, 1945, in Lastrup to Joseph and Emma (Girtz)Peine. She attended school in Lastrup and Pierz. She married JeronKapsner on Aug. 18, 1964, in Lastrup. They lived in Granite Townshipwhere they farmed and raised their family. She began volunteering inthe Pierz School District in the 1970s. She was a paraprofessional inLastrup, Pierz and the Onamia School District. She was a member of theLastrup Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her mother; her husband; three sons, Russ Kapsner,Big Lake, Gordon Kapsner, Pierz, and Ted Kapsner, Lastrup; twodaughters, Nancy Schlegel, Pierz, and Kristin Kapsner, at home; ninegrandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Girtz, Chaska, and Randy Peine,Cambridge, Wis.; and a sister, Bernie Jacobson, Howard, S.D.
Her father died earlier.
